Sebastian Bach i nettmøte på Dagbladet.no.

(Dagbladet.no): Han var bare atten da han landet jobben som vokalist i bandet til Bon Jovi-kompisen Dave «The Snake» Sabo, og de neste åra var han åttitallsmetallens fremste posterboy som frontfigur i Skid Row.

Emneord

Alt for fansen!

Norwegian Metalhead
Hi! Looking forward to a kick ass concert on Wednesday. Good to see that you really are Back In The Saddle Again with a superb new album. I heard that Scot Weiland recommended you as the new frontman of Velvet Revolver after their recent split up. Is this something you would consider if the question came up? Anyway, your band as it is now is as good as it could be, so keep on your Rock n Rollin`and those records will go three times platina. See ya Wednesday!
    Innsendt av: Carl Kruttlapp!
can't wait to see you wednesday night, we will change the words of american metalhead in norway to norwegian metalhead and dedicate it to you dude!!!!!!! thanks everybody for all your questions - this has been a lot of fun, we can't wait to rock the shit outta rockefellers tomorrow night AND SEE ALL OF YOU PEOPLE .. THANKS AGAIN - SEBASTIAN, JOHNNY AND MIKE.

Falling Into You
    Hey Sebastian!
Chris here... I'm seeing you this Wednesday, can't wait man!
Loove your new album, it's amazing.
Can you pleeeeease play Falling Into You?
One of the best songs ever man.
    Rock on!
    Innsendt av: Chris
can't wait to see you wednesay in oslo ... falling into you is the most challenging song to play live because of the piano - we do not have a piano on stage with us at thi stime ... but we do have plans to learn it on guitar and we'll hopefully add it to the set on the Poison tour this Summer in the USA. So glad you love the song.

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

What do you think of...
Have you heard Trouble and/or Warrior Soul? What do you think of them?
    Innsendt av: stig
Yes I love Trouble, i hav e their cassette in 1982 - great band

- DIMEBAG / thrash metal -
I've seen you wearing a Slayer-shirt, hanging with Metallica and I understand you were pretty tight with the Pantera-guys. Have you ever considered doing anything more thrash metal-related?
Innsendt av: Nude Dude With Attitude
I consider Negative Light of the new record my most thrashiest song to date, written with metal Mike and Steve DiGiorgio. I am writting songs with jamie jasta from hatebreed, so look out for even heavier music in the future.

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

If you started losing your hair, would you shave it all off? And if you could, would you have done something different to prevent being fired from the band?
    Innsendt av: Stian
Maybe I would tattoo hair on my head like Medusa with snakes an dfire and shit. I would not have changed anything about the end of Skid Row, because people change and I am extremely happy with my new band and new Cd.

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Fantastic album!
I'd just like to say that your new album is really good :)
I missed your voice on the new Skid Row albums, but you're recording new albums so I'm happy :D

What have you been up too all these years?
Do you still like being on the road and most importantly, will you make another album?

Sadly, I won't be attending the concert as my work keeps me from it this time but hopefully I get another chance!

    Thanks man!
    Innsendt av: Pål.
Glad you love the new CD! I have done 4 Broadway shows and lots of TV in the last couple of years ... we will get a new Cd out as soon as we can. Hopefully 2009!

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Still wild?
    Hi there!

Did the incident in Springfield december 1989 affect you as a person?

Would you do the same thing today with jumping into the crowd and beat the sh** out of a person who throws something at you?

Great solo album, and good luck with the concert tommorow!

    Innsendt av: Geir
Yes, it affected me as a person. I would never do something like that again. I would just leave the stage. So glad you love the Cd!

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Sandnes Rock City
You should come and play in Sandnes (on the West Coast) next time you're in the country. The venue is called Tribute. Saw LA Guns there last year and it was awesome.

Hope all goes well at Rockefeller!

    Innsendt av: Mike Hunt
We will play Sandnes anytime, we love to play places we've never been to before. Hope to see you soon.

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Dear mr. Bach
At a very early age, you became one of the most popular rock stars on the planet. How do you think this has affected your personality and life as an adult?
    Innsendt av: Mr. Growler
Good question. If I ever become an adult, i donøt want to be around for it. There definitely is some truth to the saying " Rock N Roll Keeps You Young". i donøt know why, but i still feel like a teenager, except for after a night of drinking.

Sebastian

tred of guns n roses questions? heres one more :D
    hey man

    love your new album,

but do you have any small clue on chinese democrazy for us???
And will you go on any more tours with gnr again somewhere in time?

    stig
    Innsendt av: stig-thore grønås
Glad you love the album. I can not speak for AXL - the album will come out someday though. We have all heard it and love it! Yes, Axl has talked about more gigs in the future. Nothing is planned as of yet.

tour
Hi, Sebastian. I really dig your music. I was at swedish rock festival last year and you rocked !! Are you going to have tours in Norway? When and where? Please come to Stavanger or Oslo...
    Innsendt av: Norman
We are playing tomorrow night - Wednesday at Rockefeller in Oslo! Get you ass down there!!! See ya soon.

TPB
Old Skid Row fan, and a slave to the grind!

Question; Can you possible force Julian, Ricky and Bubbles to come back to the silver?
    Innsendt av: GreenJoy
TPB rules in Norway. Who knew?? Lots of smokers here in Norway I see.

Sebastian

OK - lots of people will probably ask this but...
...what do you think of the current incarnation of Skid Row, and specifically your replacement, Johnny Solinger? Do you keep in touch with any of your old mates in the band? With the current wave of metal reunions (Priest, Maiden, Crüe, Poison etc) there must surely just be a matter of time before the original Skid Row line-up goes back on tour - or what!? There's gotta be TONS of money to earn out there...
Innsendt av: Extremely curious Skid Row fan
What do I think of the current incarnation of Skid Row? -- I don't. Absolutely zero plans on reuniting. I think if you listen to Angel Down and their current music, you will realize that we have grown in different directions musically. I do not make music for money.

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Pants ++
    Hey Sebastian.
Can you still get into the leather pants? I've broadened out quite a bit myself since them heydays, so believe me I'll understand if you can't.

I've been wondering this for a few years: your father's painting on the "Slave to the grind" cover has been a favorite of mine for many years, I remember being quite struck by it when I first procured the tape back in '91 at the tender age of nine or ten. Do you have any idea if it is possible to pick up a print of that painting anywhere? I remember seeing a gigantic version on your livingroom wall (or somesuch) in some MTV interview years ago, though I'm imagining that would've probably been the original.

Other than that, it's great to see you're still up and running. Keep up the good work!
Innsendt av: Million gent the second
Yes, every night. But, I have to go running like a crazy man for at least 2 months before I try to put them on. But, running and exercise and drinking tons of water really seems to work. Beer doesn't!!! Damn! I am very glad you love the Slave cover - yes the original hangs on my wall. We have talked about releasing high quality lithographs of the piece with my dad's estate. Hopefully this will happen in the future.

Sebastian

MB lyrics
"Mokey Business" was THE greatest moment of the whole pre-grunge movement of melodic metal. But what the hell are the lyrics all about???
Innsendt av: Paul - longtime fan
The lyrics to that song are incredible ... they paint a picture in a very abstract way and no matter if I get along with my old band or not, I will always respect the songs we came up with. Rachel and Snake wrote those words and taught me a lot at a very young age about what a good song is.

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Last Hard Men
    Hi Seb.
Good to see that tyou're finally releasing this album.looking forward to it.
How about a duet album with your all time hero, Dee Snider. You guys are truly the biggest heavy metal vocalists of all time. Would be really cool if you did something together before Dee goes totally country, huh huh.
I think your strongest vocal acchievment was on "In a darkened room". Stay sick, dude and good luck!
    Innsendt av: RickyWasaYoungBoy
I love Dee Snider and I am on the show Gone Country 2 that he was on last year. I love playing shows with Dee and I 100% respect the man. Glad you love In A Darkened Room .... the 2nd verse is my favorite.

Sebastian

Best song?
Wich song do you wish you would have written? Not allowed to say one of your own ones, haha... :-)

Greetings from Norway
Hi ya Sebastian, very exicted about your new thing there, rock n' roll is back and you should be in the frontline definitely! Rock on, loved you in Supergroup, great fun, well you're just great : )
Thanks for comin' around the hard way, we've missed you man!
    Innsendt av: Six Silver
Cool! Glad you like the new CD ... this is our 2nd time playing Norway in one year, so .... I really never went away. See you tomorro wnight.

Sebastian

Touring with Pantera
How was it touring with Pantera in the 90's?? were they as crazy as they seemed to be?

By the way, your new album kicks ass!
    Innsendt av: Pål and Erlo
We brought Pantera on tour in American arenas when they had Cowboys From Hell out. They released Vulgar Display Of Power in the middle of our tour - it was incredible to watch them explode before our very eyes. The toughest act to follow - ever!

maine model train convention
    Hello Sebastian.
I've been a big fan of the TPB for a while now, and i liked your performance in the 7th season. How was it like to work on a series like TPB, and did you enjoy the result yourself? Me personally wouldn't mind a reappearance of Sebastian the cigarette smuggler, on tv. Anyways.
Btw, are you interested in model trains for real?
    Innsendt av: Donny Corey Lahey
I can't belive how popular TPB are in Norway. Awesome! Glad you like the show. I'll appear on it anytime.

Sebastian

:)
Is it true that you broke down the wall to a motley crue concert in order to avoid the line, and met nikki sixx? who later said in his book that you was really annoying but able to get a few tunes right;) Rock on man..forever is a fantastic song, good to have you back!
    Innsendt av: ole k knudsen
I read Nikki's book and he never once called me annoying. He actually said I was a great singer in his book which was really cool. The story he talls about me breaking the doors down to the Motley concert sin 99% true, but .... its wasn't on the Theatre Of pain tour ... it was the Shout At the Devil tour - Toronto Cne With Accept opening. Great night, sorry Nikki about the 20,000 dollars of damage!!

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Leather pants
    Hi,

I have recently joined a glamrock band but I have a big problem. I don't seem to find a pair of quality leather pants in any shop. Where do you buy your awsome leather pants? Any tips on what to look for?

    Love your work.
    Innsendt av: Flaming Guitar Plessure
My pants are custom made by agirl named Stella Zotis in NYC. You can not buy pants like mine in a store. We sweat like nuns on Sunday on stage and destroy our clothing, so I have to have my pants custom made ... anything for the fans!

Sebastian

Banned?
Hi! Back in Skid Row, is it true your show in Norway during the "Slave to the grind tour" got banned because you refused to remove the song "Get the fuck out" from the set list? Actually the first CD I bought, back in 91. Great vocals on that album by the way! Love your new album, keep it heavy!
    Innsendt av: Tommy B
No, that is not true. We played oslo Spectrum with LA Guns in 1991 and it was a great show. Thank sfor the 2 decades of support ....... see you tomorrow night....

Sebastian

Hey!
I¿m going to your concert in Oslo (can¿t wait!), and I was wondering if it¿s possible to get my CD¿s signed?

Ever since I saw you live with Skid Row in '91 I've been waiting for a chance to see you again ¿ and finally I will :-)

I would be the happiest person alive if I got to say hello to you and get my CD¿s signed!

P.S. Your new CD is a killer!
    Innsendt av: Tonje
We are so glad you love the new CD .... if you hang out near the venue and we see you .. we would be happy to sign your CD!

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Do you remember?
Hi sweet Sebastian, it's so great to have you back!

I have one question for you: do you remember the concert in Oslo in late 1991? You dedicated "I Remember You" to Freddie Mercury and Eric Carr who had just passed away. It was such a nice gesture, and I cried during the whole song. I was second row and you pointed at me several times during the show :))

Thanx so much for everything, the totally cool music and the punk attitude he he... Love you lots, and good luck in the future!!
    Innsendt av: Helene
Yes i do remember playing oslo in cold arena in 1991. The fisrt time we played here was with Motley crue in 1989. Tomorrow we play in Oslo at Rockeffeler's ... can not belive that we have been rocking in Norway for 19 years.

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Norwegian
Is it true that you have a Norwegian grandmother?
    Innsendt av: Rune
Yes. My family is from Elverum, Norway. My great grandmother's name was Anna Elverum. We came from Stavanger to America in the late 1800's. It felt great last year when we played Kvinesdal and we stoppe din Stavanger at the exact port where my ancestors left Norway. Always an honor to play the country of my heritage.

Sebastian

Madam X
    Hello Sebastian!

Nice to hear that I can ask you a question. I started to listen to metal early in the 80th. Then I came over a band called Madam X. I reay liked the music, mut lost my album. Now I have tryed to find it again, but without luck. Everytime I search the internet, I just find porn. It's not THAT I want. Can you help me? Where can I get the music? Somebody told me that you, my friend, was playing in that band.

I was lucky to see you for a couple of years ago at Sweden Rock Festival, and I are happy to see you back there again. I have backstagepass at the festival, so maybe we meet to have a chat over a beer? Hope so! Anyway, give us a great show at the festival!
    Innsendt av: Tom Blytt
I was not the singer on the Madam X record, I joined the band after the record. There is no recorded material in existence of me with Madam X. There is however bootleg video on my My Space page from 1985 Check it out!

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Sweden Rock
    Hi Sebastian B,

Unfortunately I´m missing out on your concert in Oslo,BUT I´ll see your show on Sweden Rock. Will you be playing strictly new/your own material then or is there a chance of hearing some of the Skid Row classics?(I was a big Skid Row fan when I was a pimpled-faced teenager. ;OD )

PS:You have a truly amazing voice!

    -Elin

    Innsendt av: Elin P. Løkken
There is chance that you will hear Skid Row, there is chance you won't. Life is about taking chances!

Sebastian

Your thoughts...
Hello, what do you think about Norwegian Black Metal?
    Innsendt av: Grumle
I think its complete bullshit for someone to burn down a church in the name of rock n roll ... its a weak act of cowardice and perverts the fun good time spirit of rock n roll. The music can be great, but it sonly rock n roll, its supposed to be fun.

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Trailer Park Boys
    Hey!
Whats the story behind you playing a guest-role in the best show ever: TPB?

And what do you really think about trains?
    Innsendt av: Metal-Joe
I love working with people that love what they do and are good at it and TPB are the funniest comedians I have seen in years. I really dig fucking trains man.

Sebastian

Skid Row
Hello Sebastian. You are the greatest!!! Can't wait to see you on stage. Will you play some old Skid Row songs in Oslo (and at the Sweden Rock festival)
    Innsendt av: Betty
You will have to come to the show and listen to find out what songs we play ..... They will all be kick ass songs! I would like to state however, that we as a band live in 2008, not 1988.

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Axl Rose
Yo Bach, are you planning on going through the Skid Row catalog tomorrow ? If so, we will be coming for sure.

And while I am at it; Please go to Axl's house once you are back in L.A. and give him a solid hard kick UP the ass on behalf of all Norwegian Guns fans (and music fans in general), for being the twat that he is.
Then maybe he will wake up from his "Brian Wilson period" and release the god damn album already. And if he wasn't such a stubborn mf. he'd get back together with the old guys now that Scott the junkie left the "project".
    Innsendt av: Chris Breeze
There are no guarantees on what songs we will play, maybe we will do all Skid Row songs, maybe we will do none. We play whatever the fuck we want. Its called Rock N Roll!

Sebastian

Extreme!
    Hey!

First I just wanna thank you for all the amazing work you've done for the world of rock! (I love "Slave to the Grind"). I just heard that Extreme (Nuno Bettencourt, Gary Cherone etc) are reunited, do you think they are going to revolutionize the rock scene? What do you think of Extreme and of Nuno as a guitar player?

Also, I'm a guitar player, and I love the SG axe and the Marshall amps. What is your favourite equipment and why?
    Innsendt av: EV
I have known EXTREME since 1990 ... they actuaklly asked me to produce Pornograffitti, but their record company did not want to put me in charge of 250,000 dollars so they hired my producer Michael Wagner ... great album, great guys ...

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Hey, Baz.
Good day, Sebastian. I'm a big fan of your newest album 'Angel Down' and I wondered what's your favourite track from it? Personally I think "Love is a bitchslap" is the best one, it's awesome you got Axl
to sing back-up on it. ^^

I got some more questions if that's okay? :)

    - Are you working on new material now to a new solo album?
    - Which song do you like the best; By Your Side
    or I Remember You?

I'm also a big fan of the current Guns N' Roses, so if you don't mind, can you answer me these questions.
    - What's your favourite track on Chinese Democracy?
    - I know you're singing on the track "Sorry", so what do you think about it? What kind of attitude has it?
    - Do you think I could expect a release of the album in 2008?

Thanks for answering my questions. I hope to hear more awesome songs from you soon. :)
    Innsendt av: Christopher
So glad you love the new CD. Yes we are starting to work on new material for our next album. Also, I am collaborating with Jamie Jasta from Hatebreed on songwritting along with Metal Mike, Johnny .... we will have tons and tons of new kick ass shit for your ear hole. I like By Your Side a lot because its fresh and we are shooting a vide for it soon! Favorite Chinese Democracy track is The General or IRS!!! Sorry is a great and and ..... sorry I don't know when its coming out

Sebastian

Great collaboration....
Hi. Do you think Axl could be so stubbern that he wont release Chinese Democracy just because his is Axl? And since you probably have heard some/most of the new stuff, could it be compaired to Use Your Illusion in specter of diverse type songs??
And what is your favorite GNR song of all time?

    Best regards

    Innsendt av: Victory Or Death
I don't think AXL is the person that is holdinh up the release .... the music has been done for a long time and its incredible, epic. He has over 4 albums of material finished ... its in the hands of the business men now. Favorie GNR song of all time ... maybe Civil War, Rocker Queen, My Michelle.

Sebastian

Bringing back memories...
    Hey there Bach

Your records "Skid Row" and "Slave to the Grind" gave me a lot of nice moments in my younger days.. I didnt know you are going to do a show in Oslo wednesday. Sadly I am going to Oslo tomorrow and going back home wednesday afternoon.. I wont reach your consert..
But, can I buy you a beer today? Would love to.... My way of giving back :)
    Innsendt av: Alfred
You should change your plans and come to the show so it doesn't such to be you. Come rock with us ... its gonna be a great time!

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Trailer Park Boys
Hey man! How was it to work with Mike Clattenburg on Trailer Park Boys? That show is kickass, best show ever. How was Ricky, Julian and Bubbles?
    Innsendt av: Randy Bobandy
TPB are true proffesionals, they work hard and play hard and make great art.
We took them on the road in Canada, and almost didn't make it out alive. Good tinmes!

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

The 80s are gone..
Why do you still keep that silly hair? Get a haircut!
    Innsendt av: Per
Cos chicks dig it. I suggest to any man, keep the hair on your head as long as you can There will come a day you no longer have an option.

Sebastian

Fatal Impact and Velvet Revolver
Do you have any knowledge of tomorrow warm-up band, Fatal Impact?
If Velvet Revolver wanted you as their new vocalist, is that something you could get involved with?

Rock on Seb, Angel Down kicks ass! :)
    Innsendt av: WWMD
Never heard of Fatal Impact, that's a cool name. Metal Mike - tell them to bring beer tomorrow backstage.
I put too much time and effort into Angel Down to join another band.

Sebastian, Johnny and Metal Mike

Do you like norwegian music?
Do you listen to any norwegian music?

Want to tell you that like most kids in the early 90`s, i did make out to 18 & life, thanks for that :)
    Innsendt av: Gibbe
Metal Mike- we like Dimmu Borgir. They have a huge show and a big budget for videos. Very impressive!
I concider myslef as Norwegian music, my family is from Elverum, and immigrated to the States late 1800s. So i am happy to concider myself as Norwegian music.

I bet you hear this quote from a lot of people. But this time you really have shuffeled over the real deal. I got ca. 130cd's lp's and cassettes from skif row's good old days (releases from every country i've come by and a lot of (hrm..) bootlegs). I have over 1000pages of clippings/posters, 30-40 backstage passes, patches, pins, dvd's and you name it.
I'm 21y now and have loved your voice since i found an cassette of slave to the grind as 10y. From that time i have lisened to you about every day. If you are interessted in an list of every skid row/bach item i got, just mail me at harald_krapyl@hotmail.com and i'll mail you a copy:)

Alcohol
Do you drink alcohol(more than a glas of wine) or is it just juice like many other rock n roll stars? Great show in Kvinesdal last year by the way. Thanks
    Innsendt av: Jan Frode Ervik
I have drank alcohol for many years like a good Norwegian should, but as i get older, i'm trying to drink less. But it is a challange in this indusrty.
the travveling is brutal, much harder work then most people realize. Glad you had fun in Kvinesdal - see you in Oslo tomorrow night!!!

Sebastian

My man Baz :-D
    Yo man, what's up?
First, I have been a fan of you, Skid Row and of course GN'R since 89 I think. Your album "Bring'em Bach Alive!" has been in my cd player for some years now, and your new album with Axl on 3 songs are awesome. Thanx for getting him on there dude!
Anyway, I wanna get a straight answer directly from you about the whole thing with VR and you..I am tired of all the internet rumors about the whole thing. Have they contacted you lately?
Are you touring with Poison this summer?
    What is your fav beer?
Do you have this one song that you just LOVE to perform live and never get tired of?
And last: You fu**ing rock man!!!

Glad you like Bring em Bach alive. We are working on re-releaseing this recortd with diffrent packaging -

Velvet Revolver... I have talked to Slash recently about collaborating on music, but not Velvet Revolver. I cannot say what the details are, but Axl Rose has helped me and this band more then anyone eklse in the music industry. It would be very akward to sing in Velvet Revolver being sucj close friends with Axl. More importantly i like Angel Down more then VR music.

Dimebag
    Love your music, man!

Is there any equivalent to that partying hard mofo like Dimebag Darrell of Pantera in the world of hard rock today, you think? May he Rest In Peace!
    Innsendt av: Christian Lindh
My current guitarplayer Johnny Chromatic just maybe the One to carry on the drunken debauchery in the tradition of all mighty Dime - at least he did last night...

Thanks for enjoying the song Live and Die ... we appreciate it. Bands don't decide where we play ... fans and promoters decide. We will play Bergen anytime!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Bas!
    Got any Thin Lizzy records?
If not, go and get them!
Is it true that you and John Sykes talked about some collabertation some years Bach?

    Innsendt av: Morten
Yes. We are all fans of Thin Lizzy. My favourite song is Do what you want to do, and Bad reputation. Johnny Chromatic, Jaill Break.

Yes, John Sykes and i talked briefly about collaborating years ago, but i am very happy with m,y new band, and have no plans to work with anyone alse at this time in rock.
Would love to work with john sykes some time in the future.

ANGEL DOWN
How does it feel to have the BEST FRONTMAN EVER on your record , ON THREE SONGS ?? And the intro of the first track reminds me alot of extreme - decadence dance!!!!!
    Innsendt av: Yves
Thank you very much for the compliment!
Glad you dig the record, i'm glad you like those three songs. >I'm assuming you're talking about back in rthe saddle, stuck inside and love is a bitchslap. I don't think of myself as the best frontman ever,, but thanks!

Did you know that Axl Rose from guns and roses was also on those three songs?
